Reba McEntire



Reba McEntire has been on the country music scene since the 1970s and was the most successful female recording artist in country music during the 1980s and 1990s, where she had 22 number one hits. Reba started singing young and was in a band with her brother Pake and sister Susie. They were known as 'The Singing McEntires' and would sing at rodeo events. Reba also stared in her own sitcom which aired from 2001 to 200. She has also writen an autobiography which was published in 1994 (as I said to the right I don't really read books, however this is one book that I have read from cover to cover). Random facts about Reba

  • During the 1980s and 1990s Reba released five gold albums, six platinum albums, two double-platinum albums, four triple-platinum albums, a quadruple-platinum album, and a quintuple-platinum album, for certified album sales of 33.5 million over the 20-year period.
  • Reba joined Kelly Clarkson to take part in Crossroads, a show were a country singer or band sings with another artist or band, and they perform each others songs and also cover other artists songs. They also then toured around America together on the tour '2 Worlds 2 Voices'. Reba and Kelly also recorded a version of Kelly's song 'Because of You' which appears on Reba's album of duets.
  • Reba released songs without releasing music videos in her early career and her first music video was released in 1986 for the song 'Whoever's In New England' Watch the video below.
